Kinky Boots
Remember this movie about two outcast dreamers who finally figure out how to stand up for themselves…in thigh-high leather stilettos.
Inspired by a surprising true story, a young Englishman who inherits his father’s failing shoe factory joins a feisty t-girl who turns Charlie’s world, and the entire luckless factory, upside down.
It is worth renting this movie. A real feel good movie with lots of genuine laughs.
Enjoy…Hugs
Transgender Beauty Pageants

Crossing the line: A Miss Transvestite Aceh contestant takes a photo backstage prior to the announcement of the winner of the Aceh Cultural and Social Envoy 2010, in Banda. JP/Hotli Simanjuntak.
It’s not like women, every time they get together to crown someone Miss USA or Miss America or Miss Childish Bigot From California, have to defend their right to competition based on pretty faces and smoking bods. But of course every time there’s a transgender pageant, it turns into a big deal about trans rights!

Where Do Transgender Women Holiday?
West Hollywood Of Course!
This is a city where over a-third of the population identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT) and is well known to folk in the Los Angeles area, drawing many tourists from all over California. But it has not been a major national or international destination.
In a campaign to boost revenue, the city is seeking to expand its market. Why? Even in a slumping economy, LGBT tourists tend to have more disposable income and are more likely to spend it on travel and leisure than heterosexual tourists.
Over the past few years, other American cities such as Philadelphia, Fort Lauderdale, Chicago and Bloomington, have initiated campaigns to woo LGBT tourists.
The LGBT travel segment is so hot that American Airlines, and some other large companies, have appointed a marketing manager whose job is to market to and attract the LBGT travelers.
West Hollywood’s latest marketing initiative is the launch of its travel website GoGayWestHollywood.com which has a lists of hotels, clubs, bars and night time happenings that the visitors bureau thinks would appeal to gay and lesbian bisexual and transgender tourists.

5 Minutes With Cate Louise Gersch
Julie: If you had to start over again, what would you do differently?
Cate: To start at a much younger age, possibly late teens to early twenties..but, as other girl’s have said, I wouldn’t have had my family, and that has been a rewarding experience in itself, and has helped me to learn a lot about life.
Julie: Who do you admire and why?
Cate: My Mother….she is the most wonderful, loving, caring person I know, and for me to have been born to her is the best thing that could’ve ever happened to me..and the way that she has dealt with, and overcome all the difficulties she has faced in her life is an inspiration to me..she is simply the best!
Julie:It takes courage and determination to step out, what tips can you share and what is your motivator?
Cate: Don’t ever let fear rule over you…it will rob you of everything if you let it…we have to control it, not let it control us…be confident….look the world straight in the eye…when you walk, hold your head high, be proud of who you are..never be ashamed….and I remind myself each day that I have the same rights as everyone else out there…and I won’t let that be taken away from me
Julie: What are your 3 biggest success tips?
Cate:
1. just be yourself..don’t change for others, if you have to change for them you’re depriving yourself, and not being true to your spirit
2. don’t allow negative energy in your life..surround yourself, as much as possible, with positive energy, influences and people.

The Top 10 Risks Of Plastic Surgery?

2.Pete Burns: Spent Most Of His Life Savings On Reconstructive Surgery
Pete Burns, Former Frontman Of The British Band ‘Dead Or Alive’ famous for the song “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)” has had extensive polyacrylamide injections in his lips, cheek implants, many nose remoldings and several tattoos. In 2006 he revealed he had ploughed most of his life savings into eighteen months of plastic surgery after an initial procedure on his lips went terribly wrong.
3. Donatella Versace: Created Herself A Caricature
Since taking over her brother Gianni Versace’s international fashion empire, platinum blonde fashion designer Donatella Versace has undergone a dramatic transformation courtesy of reconstructive surgery, turning her into a caricature of herself. Often nose jobs are usually to reduce the size of the nose but Donatella’s has been enlarged over the years, and it is now wider and flatter and a little crooked, indicative there was at least one failed nose job.
If that wasn’t enough, Donatella also has enlarged lips, not unlike the trout pouts of the Hollywood divas the designer clothes. Although the fashion icon has always had big lips, the over-sized top lip signifies that fillers, like collagen, have been injected copiously.
For a 53-year old, Donatella’s skin is very firm, indicative of a probable facelift. She doubtlessly also uses dermal injectables like Botox to eradicate wrinkles, even when she smiles. Her tight face is in strong contrast to the baggy skin on her body.
4. Hang Mioku: Self-Injected Cooking Oil In Her Face
Hang Mioku is a woman, 48 years old living in South Korea. She became horribly addicted to plastic surgery that she is now unrecognisable after her obsessiveness led her to inject cooking oil in her face. Her first plastic surgery procedure was when she was 28. Operation after operation, eventually left her face enlarged and disfigured.
The surgeons she visited declined to perform further work on her and one believes that her obsession could be an indicator of a psychological disorder. This led Hang to resort to injecting cooking oil in her own face. Her face became so monstrously large that she was nick named “standing fan” by the children in her neighbourhood – because of her enlarged face and petite body.
5. Jackie Stallone: Facelift, Nose Job, Cheek Implants Brow Lift
Silvester Stallone’s mother Jackie, famous for her claim that she could talk to dogs about the future having set up a psychic hotline charging callers for advice, has also achieved fame for what appears to be a might too much reconstructive surgery, apparently trying everything including facelifts, nose jobs, cheek implants, brow lifts and certainly lip jobs.
6. Jocelyn Wildenstein: The Us$4 Million Dollar Monster
Nicknamed by the press “The Bride of Wildenstein” referring to The Bride of Frankenstein, Jocelyn Wildenstein has reportedly invested up to US$4,000,000 on plastic surgery over several years, leaving her as one of the most awful infamous examples of cosmetic surgery addiction. How did that come about?
Late in the 1970’s a beautiful woman named Jocelyn Wildenstein had it made. A fresh-faced mother of two married to an exceptionally wealthy art dealer caught her husband in bed with a 21 year old Russian model. Any normal person would divorce him and take all his money, right? Not Jocelyn Wildenstein! Rather, she was determined to win back her husband’s affection by making herself more beautiful under the scalpel. Nevertheless, her husband left her but she will always have her cosmetic surgeon.
7. Dennis Avner: na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na – Catman
Dennis Avner AKA “Catman” also known by his Native American name “Stalking Cat” incredibly underwent extensive plastic surgery to transform him to look like his totem animal – the tiger. His procedures included extensive tattoos, transdermal implants allowing whiskers to be worn, subdermal implants to changing the shape of his face and filing his teeth to make them look more tigerish.
8. Eric Sprague: Lizardman
Eric Sprague born in 1972, now known as Lizardman was the first recipient of surgery for creating a split tongue and is seen to be responsible for the subsequent surge in popularity for this particular modification. 700 hours of tattooing, five Teflon horn implants underneath the skin of his eyebrows, filing his teeth to sharp fangs, bifurcation of his tongue, and stretching his septum and earlobes has transformed this 37 year old into a reptile.
9. Michael Jackson: In Excess Of 10 Nose Procedures
Remember how normal Michael Jackson looked in the 70’s and 80’s before his transformation into the sideshow freak that he ended up as before his untimely death. It is alleged that he had in excess of 10 nose reconstructive procedures.
10. Michaela Romanini: Italian Socialite, Notorious For Her Collagen Misuse
Meet Italian socialite Michaela Romanini who became famous after numerous surgeries. Incredible to believe this lip collagen injector is only 40 years old.

10 Simple But Essential Tips For Being Graceful
How you behave is an integral and important part of being stylish ahead of your clothing, makeup and jewelery. This is your etiquette and manners.
Perhaps the most important ‘manners’ are those for which there are set of simple time honoured rules.
Our habits and mannerisms in daily living (the most automatic things we do) define us as refined individuals, sensitive to the rights of others; or as thoughtless, ignorant and rude.
As in life, it is often the small things which make the biggest impact on how people perceive and experience you.
It is the simple things like:
As in life, it is often the small things which make the biggest impact on how people perceive and experience you.
It is the simple things like:
| 1. | Always remember to say PLEASE and THANK YOU at every opportunity |
| 2. | A smile is the most important fashion accessory that you can own. Wear it at every opportunity. |
| 3. | Make other people feel important by using their name when talking with them. |
| 4. | Look at people when they are talking to you. Take an interest in what they are saying and ask them questions by using their name. For example, ‘So Mary what you are saying is…?’ This will make them feel special. |
| 5. | Allow others to speak without interrupting them, your turn will come. |
| 6. | When you answer your phone, put on your cheery voice and a smile. This will build instant rapport and make the other person feel at ease. |
| 7. | Always say excuse me if you absolutely have to interrupt someone or when leaving the table or a room. Always say excuse me if you need to slide past someone who is in your way. |
| 8. | Always use good table manners. |
| 9. | Accept compliments gracefully and make an effort to compliment others. |
| 10. | Remember, other peoples’ needs and feelings are as important as your own. |
Sometimes we take it for granted that everyone is taught these simple rules when growing up. It never ceases to amaze me how many people don’t follow them. Consequently they seem ignorant and rude, despite the fact that they may look fabulous.
We often think that being stylish is all about what we wear, but it is just as much in how we act and treat other people. We all warm to people who show us genuine kindness and respect, and tend to avoid those who don’t.
You T-Girls Are Awesome

How To Walk Like A Woman
Men and Women walk differently as you can see in this video animation.
To cultivate a more feminine walk you may like to watch this several times, observe other women walking, and practice your feminine walk until is becomes more natural.
This will take practice as you begin to feel more comfortable walking. But the more you practice, the lesser the risk that you will be read, and the more confident you will feel out in public with your female persona.

Using Makeup To Create Delicious Kissable Lips
Nicole, Australia asks “I Have Big Lips. How can I Make Them Look More Balanced In Appearance?
Remembering you are the mistress of illusion, you are going to craft your lips cleverly with using a combination of dark and light colours to create a more balance appearance to your lips. And here are a couple of rules for your lips:
Rule #1: Use a Lip Liner with your lipstick to define the shape and size
Rule #2: To enlarge you lip appearance use a dark Lip Liner. To diminish use a light coloured Lip Liner
Have a look at the video to see how to apply your Lip Liner and Lipstick to create balance with your lips. Here are 5 easy steps you should follow:
- Use a lip-liner to outline your lip. Remember to use a dark colour to enlarge and a light colour to diminish your lip size.
- Start with your top lip by finding the cupid’s bow in the middle and give it some ‘cleavage’.
- Draw just outside the natural lip line to increase the appearance of the lip
- Draw on the inside of the lip line to decrease the size of the lip.
- Apply your lipstick with a brush to achieve a better finish, and get more definition with crisper lines
And there you have it. Practice a few times to get the look and balance to your lips you are happy with. And if you want some feedback or a bit of help, just ask some of your T-Girlfriends to come around and have a look at the video, then try it out together. That way you can help each other achieve your best appearance.
Using Foundation and Blusher To Create Beautifully Attractive Cheeks
Thank you to all you T-Girls out there who have sent in your questions. There have been so many so we are going to answer as many as we can over them coming weeks. Have a look at the T-Girls video clips to see step-by-step the answers to many of your questions. And there is a summary of what to do below also.
This week let’s look at a couple of makeup tips. There are a couple of rules to remember when selecting and applying makeup, remembering that makeup is all about creating an illusion, you are the mistress artist accentuating your attractive features and disguising those features you want to hide. That is how all us girls make ourselves look so fantastically attractive!
Rule #1: Remember, darker colours draw in and lighter colours draw out your features.
Rule #2: Practice, practice, practice
Chantelle from the UK asked how she could get more definition to her cheeks. This is very easy and you can do this by correctly selecting and applying foundation and blusher in 7 simple steps:
- Select a darker foundation which will give your cheeks a more ‘hollow’ appearance.
- Use a proper makeup brush to apply your foundation to give a softer and more even natural look.
- Apply a blusher to emphasise and highlight your cheekbone
- Select pink blushers rather than earthy colours, to give you a more flattering and natural glow.
- Again apply the blusher with a brush by following a half moon curve along your cheek bone.
- A good rule of thumb is the blusher should be applied to not more than two fingers spaces from the side of your nose to your cheek.
- The blusher colour should finish on your cheekbone beneath your iris.
And that’s it! This will give your cheek bones greater prominence and definition giving your face a very attractive feminine look.
You Are Phenomenal!

One of our favorite poems at The Femininity Coach is Phenomenal Woman by Maya Angelou. This poem really helps you understand that beauty is what you make it and inner beauty and myster really does shine through. I know many of you have heard this before, but it’s definitely worth looking at again and taking the words to heart, because each of us are phenomenal women!
Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I’m telling lies.
I say,
It’s in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.
I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It’s the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.
Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can’t touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can’t see.
I say,
It’s in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.
Now you understand
Just why my head’s not bowed.
I don’t shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It’s in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need of my care,
‘Cause I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.
How To Dress For Your Body Shape

One way to continue on your path to femininity successfully is to dress for your body shape. Dressing for your body shape allows you to look great, feel great, and understand your body. Understanding your body is the best way to dress your best and look your best, especially when shopping. So many t-girls get stuck buying the wrong things when shopping, just because it looks good on the hanger, doesn’t mean it looks good on you!
The first step is to find out exactly what body shape you have. There are four common body shapes, pear, apple, hourglass and rectangle. Many t-girls are rectangles, however because of hormonal therapy; t-girls come in every shape and size, so it’s important to know which category you fit in.
If you are a pear your upper body is smaller than your lower body. When pears gain weight, they gain it in their hips and thighs. Pears look great in fitted tops in lots of patterns and colors paired with solid colored bottoms, to make those hips and legs slimmer. They also look great in a-line and flared skirts. When wearing jeans, dark denim it is best and always accessories your neck and ears to bring attention to the top portion of your body.
Apples have upper bodies that are larger than the lower, and unfortunately, when they gain weight it goes directly to their tummies! When it comes to jeans flat fronts and pockets help you look curvier, and a-line skirts that are short also flatter this shape. As far as tops, keep it simple with less patterns and don’t forget the right bra is the most important part of flattering this shape.
Okay…if you are one of the lucky t-girls that have a curvy hourglass figure, that’s great for you. This means your hips and shoulders are proportioned and you can wear patterns galore. But remember, you look the best in V-necks and stretch denim. Also, because of your small waist, be wary of jeans that gap in the back. And remember, don’t hide your body, baggy clothes are not flattering to your shape.
If you have a rectangle figure, like most t-girls then you have amazing legs. Show them off by wearing low rise jeans. Because your figure is straight up and down, you shouldn’t wear anything with vertical patterns, because you’ll look thinner. Wear scoop neck or v-neck tops to give you a curvier silhouettes. Other than that, have fun with colors and patterns.
What shape are you and what challenges have you had with your figure?

Beauty Tips from Audrey Hepburn

Below is a poem and original writings by Audrey Hepburn. It was read at her funeral and is great inspiration to keep us all remembering that beauty starts from within first, and the rest will follow.
For attractive lips, speak words of kindness..
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.
People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.
Does inner confidence affect outer beauty? I want to hear from you!

Summer 2009/2010 Makeup Trends

Summer is fast approaching, so it’s time to focus on getting rid of that dark winter palette, and add some light and refreshing shades to your makeup drawer.
The new trends for summer 2009/2010 are bold yet subtle, light and airy, and perfect for t-girls who want to make a first impression no one will forget and every girl will envy.
Here are two of our favorite summer makeup trends:
1. Sculpt It Up!!

That’s right, it’s the stuff the Greek Gods were made of…stone. The one way to capture the beauty of the past is through sculpting. Today, the perfection of statues is being used in makeup through a new trend called sculptural makeup application. The sculptural look adds a sensual and feminine side to any girl’s makeup regimen, and it’s perfect for summer.
The look can be achieved by using foundation and light face powders combined with highlighting your cheeks in brownish shades. The look can easily translate a boring look into geometrical art with a few strokes of your makeup brush.
2. A Touch of Rose

This summer roses are a t-girl’s best friend…next to diamonds of course! This summer, rosy cheeks are making a comeback by contrasting with natural and fresh skin.
To get the rosy look, contrast is very important. Your eyes should be strongly outlined, the lips should be natural and your cheeks should be blushed with rose…. go crazy with it! The look is actually quite stunning and is great for a summer night out or a nice casual walk around the city.
Do you change your makeup regimen as the seasons change? Tell us your routine..we want to hear from you!

Monica’s Story Part Two
Monica has had the most amazing journey so far, you will see far she has come in just a few short months working with me. Check out the video below!
What are some of your challenges as a transgender or crossdresser?
The Key To Walking Like A Woman

The feminine walk is one of the hardest things to conquer when making your transition to femininity. So many t-girls find that they look like a woman, smell like a woman, dress like a woman, but walk like a man. But you can perfect you feminine walk! It just takes practice and a lot of focus.
The first step to mastering the feminine walk is by observing other woman and men around you. This observation is better than any book or class and will give you a firsthand look at how to walk naturally. Go to the mall and order a latte and sit and people watch. After observing you will notice a number of things:
- Women have a natural flow when they walk because of estrogen. Estrogen allows a woman to have increased flexibility in her joints which causes that graceful feline movement.
- Women have larger hips and longer legs which allow them to have a slight twist when they walk.
- women walk are shorter and have slender shoulders which allows them to walk with shoulders back and head straight unlike men who lean down slightly.
- Women walk with their feet moving inward while men walk with their feet going straight; in a line.
After observing these features closely, it’s time to implement them into your walk. The goal is to produce a natural walk with fluidity and a slight jiggle. There are many ways to achieve this, some t-girls take HRT to help Mother Nature correct their walk. HRT, or hormone replacement therapy, replaces the naturally occurring hormones in their bodies with those of the other sex. Many t-girls report that they discovered it was easier to perfect their feminine walk post op.
Others practice, practice, practice by walking in heels with their legs close together, rotating their hips and shoulders while standing up straight. It’s hard work but the results cannot be denied.
What techniques have you used to perfect your feminine walk? What was the hardest part?
Looking forward to hearing from you!

The Right Underwear At The Right Time

There are so many different brands, styles, types, and colors of underwear to choose from, that’s it’s hard to decide which ones to wear; especially if comfort and taste are important to you. Here’s how you can make sure you make the right decision when it comes to choosing underwear for a special occasion or everyday use.
The Thong
The thong is perfect for women who want to wear tight fitting clothing or clingy fabrics while avoiding visible panty lines. Many thongs can be uncomfortable, so it’s smart to choose a pair that is molded and not sewn for a smooth fit. Also, remember that a thong disappears from the back but can easily be seen from the front, so be sure to wear a pair that doesn’t have lots of print, especially if you are wearing light colored clothing.
Full Cut Briefs
These comfortable companions are perfect to help you shape your tummy while fitting great under loose fitting dresses and skirts. The are a favorite by women because they provide full coverage and support; however they don’t have to be granny panties! There are many styles that are flattering yet functional.
The T-Shirt Bra
The t-shirt bra is perfect for t-shirts. They provide a smooth finish, full support and comfort even underneath the tightest of t-shirts. Many call this bra the “everyday bra” because it’s so comfortable making it ideal for 9 to 5 jobs.
The Convertible Bra
The convertible bra is a girl’s best friend because it can change from a hater to strapless in a few clicks and can support various styles in your wardrobe. Every t-girl should own a convertible bra to ensure that those visible bra lines and straps stay at bay.
What underwear issues have you had that you’ve always wanted a solution too? Do you have any embarrassing underwear stories that you’d like to share?
Look forward to your comments!

This Week’s T-Girl Tips – Do You Have Shopping Problems?
In the video this week, Monica is in a little bit of trouble! Yes, you guessed it, shopping for all the wrong things and as usual she does not listen to a thing I say:

To submit a question to me, and to see it featured on our blog, visit The Femininity Coach and click on Contact Us to submit your question to me. Your question will be answered in detail and featured on our blog! Here’s today’s t-girl question:
Dear Julie,
I am looking for a new wig until my hair grows out. I want to find something that is natural and fits my facial structure. How do I know what my face shape is?
-Hugs and Kisses, Monica
Great question Monica! When choosing the right wig, knowing your face shape is the single most important deciding factor. To determine your face shape stand in the mirror and pull all hair away from your face. Trace the outline of your face in the mirror (use a bar of soap for easy clean up) and then compare your face shape to the following illustrations:

Now when you go shopping for wigs, you know exactly what to tell the sales person or your consultant!

Are You A Princess?

Recently I helped T-Girl, Angela, make her transformation into the confident and beautiful woman she always was (go to Testimonials to read more about Angela’s transformation). After the process, Angela said to me, “…for so many years I have had a dream of feeling like a princess, well today I looked and felt like a princess, thank you for making my dream come true.”. This statement touched me profoundly and got me thinking about self esteem and childhood dreams.
The lack of self esteem can be a problem that can cripple us in today’s society. Constantly comparing yourself to other people or repeatedly telling yourself that you are not worth it, not beautiful, or could be better is damaging to your personal self image and accomplishing your life goals.
Not only can low self esteem stop your success, but it can also stop you ability to dream big and cause you to make bad decisions in life including entering stressful and unhealthy relationships. The journey of a T-Girl isn’t easy, but neither is any journey in life. Between the media and what our parents tell us, it’s no wonder we lost that free confidence we had as a child.
Remember when we were children? We never cared about what is and what is not acceptable, we never stopped what we said or what we wanted to do. We dressed the way we wanted and we definitely didn’t scrutinize ourselves in the mirror…we simply were ourselves and enjoyed life.
As children, the outside didn’t matter; we lived in our own worlds and didn’t care what people thought about us. Then suddenly, it all came crashing down. We didn’t believe we could be Cinderella or Snow White anymore; we began to squeeze ourselves in these little boxes that people put us in as we waited for their approval.
However, it’s not too late to re-examine your life and dream big again. As your take the journey to being a T-Girl, stop worrying about what other people think about you or society’s acceptance…be you!!
Here’s a great activity to get you started. Comment on this blog and share with me some of your childhood fantasies and role models. You’ll be surprised at how much you let go as you got older.
I look forward to hearing from each of you!

T-Girl Makeup Tips: Creating a Flawless Finish

There are so many fancy makeup tips a T-Girl can experiment with, these can include the latest summer colors or a deep smokey eye. However, learning how to “seal the deal” and create a flawless finish to your signature look is key to your success.
Remember, every girl has a “it” look that works for them. Whether it’s a natural look that’s simple or a subtle dramatic look to add some spunk, the finishing process is still the same. Here are three steps to help you conquer your amazing finale:
- Every morning and every night you should use a gentle cleanser to keep your skin free of buildup. When you are cleansing your face use upward strokes. These upward strokes not only help fight gravity and prevent future wrinkles, but they help prevent skin irritation.
- Use a toner to freshen up your skin, a moisturizer to hydrate (don’t forget the SPF) and exfoliate at least 2 to 3 times per week.
- Create an all day flawless daytime look using loose powder. After applying your foundation and concealer, distribute loose powder evenly over the entire face and neck to set your foundation and concealer. Throughout the day you can apply pressed powder with a sponge or powder brush.
So, what’s the secret to that flawless finish? You guessed it, loose powder. Here are a few additional tips to help you apply it for you skin and age.
- Be sure to choose a powder that’s 3 shades lighter than your foundation
- If you are over the age of 30 do not use the powder under your eyes because it can make wrinkles stand out.
- If your skin is extra shiny, and loose powder doesn’t get rid of all the oil, use oil blotting sheets.

Getting Rid Of The Mask: TGirl Personal Style Tips

Cross dressers and transgenders should present themselves to the world by showing others their true selves, not offering the world a mask and disguise. Many are ashamed of their features, their style, their innate sense of womanhood and try to hide behind a mask of makeup, clothing, costumes, and other attributes that shield the world from their true selves.
However, it’s important to remember that your personal style is your way to communicate so you canportray your confidence, your integrity and the true essence of who you are.
People are influenced both consciously and unconsciously by your appearance, your physical attributes, your accessories. Important also are your speaking patterns and grammar along with your body language. You never get a second chance to make a first impression, so putting your best foot forward no matter where or what the situation is imperative for your personal style success. Beauty is within, but your outer impression is a reflection of your personality, your life, your professional goals, and your self esteem.
Polish, poise, posture, all add up to a you making a fabulous presentation of yourself. Always present yourself in the best possible way-your personal and professional self must always be your authentic self. So many times we see people who are so put together, but the minute the cameras stop rolling, they turn into a nasty person that no one wants to be around. Look deep within and find your authentic self and always let her shine through, no matter the situation.
Learn to stand out in the crowd. Select clothes that suggest POWER and CONFEDENCE and pair them with solid and vibrant colours and accessories that spell success. Build your wardrobe around two or three basic colours and add accents using a blouse, shirt and accessories. Be an inspiration to other t-girls and cross dressers by raising the bar on the way the world views your personal style.
What mask have you hidden behind that are hindering others from seeing your true self? How can you, as a t-girl, revamp your personal style while still staying true to your authentic self?
I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
Sincerely,

The Basics of Building a TGirl Summer Wardrobe

Summer is here! Whether you live in one of the hottest places on earth or a comfortable vacation spot, dressing classy for the summer can be hard…especially if you are a TGirl!
Before you start redoing your summer wardrobe, your first step is to purge your closet and store everything that can’t be worn this summer. Storing your fall and winter clothes not only keeps your mind from trying to get you to wear something that’s not season appropriate; but it also increases your closet real-estate which gives you loads of room for your summer shopping.
When shopping for the summer there are a few wardrobe staples that every TGirl should have:
A Flattering Bathing Suit. A great fitting flattering one or two piece bathing suit will last a TGirl for years to come. Because we are developing our wardrobe staples make sure you pick one that’s black, white or navy so that you’ll always have a swimsuit that doesn’t go out of style. Of course, you can build upon that base later.
A Strapless Convertible Bra. This is a very important staple in a TGirl’s wardrobe, especially in the summer. Showing your bra straps is a major no, especially when wearing strapless dresses, tank tops and halters. Invest in a convertible strapless bra that can be rearranged in as many possibilities as your wardrobe.
A Built In Bra Tank. Sometimes you just can’t wear a bra under everything. A built in bra tank allows you to feel the summer breeze without sacrificing support or the illusion of support.
A Ribbed cotton tank. Originally made for men, these shirts are now fashionably acceptable for women and can be incorporated within your wardrobe. You can wear them with jeans and a scarf, a suit jacket, or alone with lots of accessories.
Cotton Clothing. Whether it’s a light weight top in range of colors and prints or a comfortable printed dress, cotton clothing will keep you fashionable while feeling great in the summer heat.
A Strapless Dress. A strapless dress in black, navy, white or tan can be incorporated into your wardrobe seamlessly. Try a maxi dress paired with a great blazer or jean jacket with gladiator sandals or a shorter evening style strapless dress for those summer nights.
Khaki Shorts. Not only do khaki shorts keep you looking cool, but they come in a variety of lengths and look very sophisticated and chic when paired with summer tops.
Drawstring Pants. You’d be amazed at the combinations you can develop with a few pairs of classy drawstring linen pants. A khaki, white and brown pair are essential for a stylish summer wardrobe.
These are a few of your summer basics to get through the rest of this summer. Many of these pieces can easily translate to fall by using a technique called layering. Stay tuned to my blog for more TGirl tips!
Sincerely,
